My Religion

This is a movie I have been slaving over… It isn’t perfect, but I don’t really want to work on it anymore. So I thought i’d post it here.

You need sound!! It is pointless without sound!

  1. Very cool! The only problem I have is that it’s so bloody short, but I’ll keep that to myself. I know what a pain in the arse video editing can be.

  2. I thought it was great!!! What are talents are you waiting to share with us all? I also agree that was too short…but you got the idea across…MUSIC IS THE RIGHT STUFF…lol

  3. he he!! nice one fred!

my videos will get longer when my skills get better. right now i’m finding the whole editing process to be pretty daunting (timing / transitions etc..)

i’m searching for a better video host too.

  4. You will very soon grow tired of iMovie (though it makes the Ken Burns effect easy). timing cuts to music is much much much easier with Final Cut Express. It looks difficult but it’s much easier when dealing with a non-linear editor. Seriously.

  5. Funny you should say that Edward, because i’ve been using imovie so much these past few days that i’ve already become bored of certain effects and am hungry for more capability.

Does Final Cut Express / Pro work in the same manner, but just have more features?

Editing music in imovie is a pain in the ass…

Who the hell is Ken Burns anyway???

  6. I love this one Selina! I don’t feel it is too long or too short. Perfect. I like how the flow changed direction towards the end, nice effect. Keep up the great work.

  7. I am totally upgrading to 10mbps in 2 weeks. I am thinking about shaking up my blog a bit and doing some multimedia stuff with my Apple once that happens.

I made a video with iMovie at work and had no problem synching music. I felt it was really easy with iTunes and all that integrated stuff.

If you are into Mac, check out some of the open source video editing stuff. There are free ways to take a formal high quality video and condense it quickly into a streaming format. Unfortunately I am on the PC right now so I don’t know the name of what I used but I have full length DVD’s on my iPod. Takes a 2 hour movie and makes it 400mb.

In a few weeks I should be asking for help! lol
