From what I can remember... I don't think I could live like that now if I tried. Guilt and age would factor in too much. Narnie: I too prefer the honesty method. I had junkie friends, and I also have dead friends. I will be open with my daughters about my past, but use lessons like those to hopefully "scare them off". If they do choose to indulge, chances are I will know exactly what they took, how long ago, and even the dosage. They won't be able to hide anything from me. I know it all and did it all. We write about things we know... and, hell if you spend almost a decade using hard drugs, well, what else are you gonna write about?! MrCorey: I know I know, it's hard to accept. Ive always been honest with them but still feel uncomfortable that I have to go so against the norm with my honesty and say - yep, I took drugs. I lost three friends before I was 20 to drugs though and I always tell them that too. One was only 14 when he went too far looking for the next high. Be careful, be careful, trust who you're with. My own kids? I'll WHOOP their arses if they touch anything, hahahaha *JOKE*... agh - who'd be a grown up, eh? A nice trip down memory lane that you pinpoint perfectly. Fab.
